Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Distinguished Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is often credited for starting the modern science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court circumstances. Professor Goodman, who has many research publications as well as numerous grants she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
